At the rear of Douglas Park there is a signpost which points to the gate which gives you access to the path leading to the Largs Viewpoint.
It is recommended that you wear ‘sensible' walking shoes, as part of the route can be a bit wet/muddy underfoot.
More than halfway up you come to a gate which opens onto a single track tarred road. Cross this road and enter the gate opposite. Your path continues to the right and leads you to the steps (opposite).
In the photograph below you can see on the skyline where you are heading. Just one more gate to negotiate at the top of the steps and you are on the short walk to the viewpoint cairn.
