The Opportunities in Retirement (OIR) Largs organisation caters for the interests of the over-fifties and facilitates interesting activities for those who are retired.Interests include: line-dancing, drama, ukulele, calligraphy, Italian, carpet bowls, jewellery-making, philosophy, German, geology, tai chi, pilates, zumba, guitar, cycling and hill-walking.

Some activities take place weekly, some fortnightly,some monthly and some year-round.

The OIR Largs office is located at 133 Main Street and is open on weekdays from 10am until noon.

The annual subscription for members is currently £15.
