Grey Seals

A popular spot for observing the seals basking on the rocks is the Meigle in Skelmorlie.

They spend most of the year hunting at sea but can occasionally be spotted swimming in the water or resting on the rocks close to shore.

They are easier to spot between September and December when they form breeding colonies and give birth to their pups on shore.

If you are lucky you may see a pod of dolphins
