This popular outdoor recreation area is located at the upper region of Gogo burn.

To reach Greeto Falls from the railway station, start by crossing Main Street at the mini roundabout. Walk past Tesco Express, then turn right onto Gateside Street/Flatt Road. Continue walking toward the hills until you see Alexander Avenue/Eastern Avenue on your left, and Bellsdale Avenue (a cul-de-sac) on your right. At the end of Bellsdale Avenue you have two options;

There is an aluminium gate on your left behind which is a surfaced road built by the Forestry Commission. It takes you to Greeto Bridge (today’s new bridge was built above the old, rickety wooden bridge).

Beyond this gate on Bellsdale Avenue there is a gate in the wall on your right. This leads you to the ‘natural’ path up the course of the Gogo burn to the waterfalls etc. There is a signpost which directs you to Greeto Bridge. This route is muddy and wet, so sturdy walking boots are recommended.

Both routes have steep gradients along the two-mile walk to the falls, pools and picnic spot.
