With the emergence of electric cars and buses there is a growing need to establish a network of electric vehicle charging points.

The one in the photo is located behind the putting green kiosk at the Vikingar Centre (opposite the RNLI building on Greenock Road).

Two more are located at EV Rapid Charging Station, Gulf Castlebay Filling Station, Irvine Road, Largs KA30 8HS.

A further two are located at the Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre, Burnside Road, Largs KA30 8RW.

Some residents have now installed a charging point in their homes.
