Since it opened in 1930 this popular variety theatre and concert hall has been providing memorable entertainment for holidaymakers and local residents –young and old – for more than 90 years.

Barrfields is the last fully operational Pavilion Theatre in Scotland. It is run by volunteers in conjunction with K.A.Leisure and is located in the Vikingar complex (Promenade) on Greenock Road.
N.B. For those of a certain age, you may think the projection boxes in the photograph look familiar–perhaps they remind you of ‘the aliens’ in the 1978 pioneer Space Invaders electronic game?
